The Rainbow Nation

The Rainbow Nation is a term coined by Archbishop Desmond Tutu to describe multi-cultural, post-apartheid South

All the colours of the rainbow on the beach bathing boxes at Muizenberg beach

Not wanting to be outdone, Bo Kaap is a riot of colour

The term 'rainbow' did not imply an all-over tan

Nor does 'rainbow' refer to the brightly coloured flotsam

Who care.  This kid is having fun, and that is what the beach is about

What can be more 'rainbowish' that this central Cape Town scene.
