Coonamble.
Part of the ‘Great Inland Way’ Coonamble is situated on the ‘underground’ Castlereagh River in North-West NSW, approximately 6.5 hours drive from Sydney. The name for the town is taken from the Gamilaraay word "guna" (faeces) and 'bil' (having much). - gunambil. Brigidine nuns from Ireland established a school in 1883. Most of the other attractions were closed as a result of Covid 19. |

Bevan's Cactus Farm
Started in 1966, and now encompassing two passionate generations, Bevan’s host one of the largest cactus nurseries in the southern hemisphere with approximately 2,500 young and aged varieties. Grown from seeds collected from around the world, many plants are now well over 100 years old, with the oldest being nearly 150.
